Pastor Freddie Davis
is a native of Sumter, SC where he attended public schools. He matriculated at the Washington Bible College, received his Bachelor of Theology from Northwestern College School of Religion, Washington, DC; and the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity from the Richmond Virginia Seminary.
Pastor Davis has served Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for 44 years, and under his leadership the ministry has grown spiritually, numerically, and in assets. Reverend Davis serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Therapeutic Services, Inc.; Chairman of the Foreign Mission Board of the National Capital Baptist Convention of Washington, DC & Vicinity; Member of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. and Member of The Missionary Baptist Ministers Conference of Washington, DC & Vicinity.
Pastor Davis is married to the former Margaret Workman and has five daughters, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Reverend Davis is continually astounded by the Spirit of God teaching and preaching through him. And is mindful of Zechariah 4:6b, “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
